Lewis Feinberg Lee Renaker Jackson, P.C.

Employment Discrimination & Civil Rights

The firm prosecutes employment discrimination class actions on behalf of women, minorities, and individuals in other protected groups against employers who violate federal and state laws that prohibit discrimination and exclusion. The firm currently represents employees and applicants for employment in cases against Best Buy, Costco, Cintas, and McCormick and Schmick’s for engaging in practices alleged to discriminate against plaintiffs in denial of hiring, promotion, compensation, job assignment, performance evaluation, or discipline.

The firm also prosecutes civil rights cases that seek to vindicate the civil rights of individuals in a variety of circumstances. One example is a current case against the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for violating the transportation equity rights of minority bus riders. Another current example is an action brought by several Abu Ghraib and Afghan detainees of American military facilities who allege that they were tortured.

The employment discrimination and civil rights practice is headed by Bill Lann Lee who was formerly the nation’s top civil rights prosecutor as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights in the U.S. Department of Justice in the Clinton Administration.

If you have concerns about an employer’s policies and practices and think they may be discriminatory, please report a new case or join a current case.
